As Summer comes to an end but we aren’t quite into the Winter months, many people often wonder how to best spend time in the Rockies. While it may be a little too cold for mountain biking, but not cold enough for snow activities, there is still plenty to do during Fall months in Colorado.

Hiking

One of the most beautiful places to be during the Fall is hiking in the mountains. As the leaves change and the air cools, it’s never a bad idea to bundle up and take in the beautiful views the Rockies have to offer. One of the most breathtaking hikes this time of year can be found in Aspen and is called Maroon Bells. A reflective lake and two giant snow-striped mountaintops, named Maroon Peak and North Maroon Peak, anchor a blissful panorama exemplified by a symphony of color that changes with the seasons. This hike is only about 10 miles West of Aspen and will be a hike you will always remember.

Fall Festivals

Another fun activity that takes place in the Fall is all the festivals across the Rockies. It isn’t hard to find festivals throughout the mountains when you look for them. Such as the Breckenridge craft spirits festival that is taking place in October of 2019. Take in the beautiful surrounding nature as you sip on crafted spirits in Breckenridge.
